Inspirational Couture (or What I loved about the Winter Runway!)

Like most fashion addicts I love perusing fashion trends, on and off the runway.  And by the way, the 2014 Winter Runway shows held in Paris surprised me (delightfully so) with the readily wearable couture!  Here I've featured a few of my favorites...of course, I took special note of the accessories!  The shoes....ahhhhhh....the SHOES!

Note the textured pattern of those two-piece heels.

Giorgio Armani's lesson on  red, white and black with a just the right mix of pattern and texture were both sensual and structured.

I'm in love with how this ruffled choker with its red cabochon worn just off center.  It's the unexpected that makes it pop.

Ulyana Sergeenko's modern take on classic lines makes retro look sexy!

It was clear that how we live now...right now...is a driving force in today's couture.

But not to worry, true fashion erudites bold enough, or more accurately, with vision enough to see themselves in the extraordinary one of a kind art that designers create did not walk away unhappy.  But I confess I sometimes need a translator (stylist) for such art to visualize myself in one of those pieces.

*sigh*....one day....one day!
