The Jumpsuit

I couldn't help but notice the number of flat shoes most styles were worn with...even the more formal ones.

As for shape, I found this style the most intriguing.  With this fabric, the deliberate removal of the cinched waist made it flow like a gown.

Having just done a piece on the reemergence of culottes, it was no surprise that the jumpsuit wasn't far behind.  Note: these are not to be confused with the Brit's "jumper", which is shorthand for dress).

A long way from it's coverall origins, the jumpsuit has returned in a myriad of fabrics and shapes. And there's more than a few to choose from; denim to crepe, full length to shorts, fitted to flare...looking at the runways the options seem limitless!

Several styles were embellished, and others completely devoid of anything but the shape.

Be sure to try one on this Spring.  Seeing how many designers have rediscovered their beauty, you can too!  - B. A. Snob
