If you've been watching the runways then you've seen Chanel's Winter Couture collection. While the grocery store set was enough to create a buzz, the trend they started in matched set clothing is even more so. Although not new, this is a tad more than matching color tones. It's matching patterns and textures of the fabric as well....'Meet me in St. Louis' and 'Gigi' come to mind.
In fact, it's rare to even see shoes and bag from the same designer worn at the same time. "Too matchy, matchy!", is the phrase that I'd hear my nieces use. Nevertheless, there is a beauty in seeing matched sets, a uniformity that has the power to right what otherwise may be considered fashion drab.
